[14:33]  1 tn Grk “Likewise therefore every one of you who does not renounce all his own possessions cannot be my disciple.” The complex double negation is potentially confusing to the modern reader and has been simplified in the translation. See L&N 57.70.

[16:5]  2 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the result of the manager’s decision.

[16:5]  3 tn Grk “summoning.” The participle προσκαλεσάμενος (proskalesameno") has been translated as a finite verb due to requirements of contemporary English style.

[19:13]  3 tn See the note on the word “slave” in 7:2.

[19:13]  4 sn That is, one for each. A mina was a Greek monetary unit worth one hundred denarii or about four months’ wages for an average worker based on a six-day work week.
