24:1 Now on the first day² of the week, at early dawn, the women³ went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices⁴ they had prepared.

[17:35] ¹tn Grk “at the same place.” According to L&N 46.16, this refers to a hand mill normally operated by two women.

[24:1] ²sn The first day of the week is the day after the Sabbath.

[24:1] ³tn Grk “they”; the referent (the women mentioned in 23:55) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
