Luke 2:52

2:52 And Jesus increased ¹  in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and with people.

Luke 19:3

19:3 He ²  was trying to get a look at Jesus, ³  but being a short man he could not see over the crowd. ⁴ 

[2:52]  ¹ tn Or “kept increasing.” The imperfect tense suggests something of a progressive force to the verb.

[19:3]  ² tn Here καί (kai) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

[19:3]  ³ tn Grk “He was trying to see who Jesus was.”

[19:3]  ⁴ tn Grk “and he was not able to because of the crowd, for he was short in stature.”
