Luke 20:17

Luke 22:37
Context22:37 For I tell you that this scripture must be 3 fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted with the transgressors.’ 4 For what is written about me is being fulfilled.” 5

[20:17] 1 tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
[20:17] 2 tn Or “capstone,” “keystone.” Although these meanings are lexically possible, the imagery in Eph 2:20-22 and 1 Cor 3:11 indicates that the term κεφαλὴ γωνίας (kefalh gwnia") refers to a cornerstone, not a capstone.
[22:37] 3 sn This scripture must be fulfilled in me. The statement again reflects the divine necessity of God’s plan. See 4:43-44.
