Context24:9 and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven 4 and to all the rest.

[6:27] 1 sn Love your enemies is the first of four short exhortations that call for an unusual response to those who are persecuting disciples. Disciples are to relate to hostility in a completely unprecedented manner.
[23:30] 2 sn The figure of crying out to the mountains ‘Fall on us!’ (appealing to creation itself to hide them from God’s wrath), means that a time will come when people will feel they are better off dead (Hos 10:8).
[23:30] 3 sn An allusion to Hos 10:8 (cf. Rev 6:16).
[24:9] 3 sn Judas is now absent and “the twelve” have now become “the eleven.” Other disciples are also gathered with the remaining eleven.
