Luke 8:17

8:17 For nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.

Luke 22:18

22:18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit ³  of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” ⁴ 

[8:17]  ¹ sn Nothing is hidden. Light also exposes, and Jesus was suggesting that his teaching likewise revealed where people are and where they will be. Truth will be manifest in the future, just as it was declared by him then. Nothing will be concealed.

[8:17]  ² tn Or “disclosed.”

[22:18]  ³ tn Grk “the produce” (“the produce of the vine” is a figurative expression for wine).

[22:18]  ⁴ sn Until the kingdom of God comes is a reference to the kingdom in all its power. See Luke 17:20-37. Jesus awaits celebration with the arrival of full kingdom blessing.
