Luke 8:53-54

8:53 And they began making fun ¹  of him, because they knew ²  that she was dead. ³  8:54 But Jesus ⁴  gently took her by the hand and said, ⁵  “Child, get up.”

[8:54]  ⁵ tn Grk “and called, saying.” This is redundant in contemporary English and has been simplified in the translation to “and said.”
