1:15 He ¹  said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God ²  is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

[1:15]  ² sn The kingdom of God is a reference to the sovereign activity of God as he rules over his creation and brings his plans to realization.

[14:49]  ³ tn Grk “and”; καί (kai) is elastic enough to be used contrastively on occasion, as here.

[14:49]  ⁴ tn Grk “But so that”; the verb “has happened” is implied.
