Mark 12:33
Context12:33 And to love him with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength 4 and to love your neighbor as yourself 5 is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

[7:36] 1 tn Grk “but as much as he ordered them, these rather so much more proclaimed.” Greek tends to omit direct objects when they are clear from the context, but these usually need to be supplied for the modern English reader. Here what Jesus ordered has been clarified (“ordered them not to do this”), and the pronoun “it” has been supplied after “proclaimed.”
[12:40] 2 tn Grk “who,” continuing the sentence begun in v. 38.
[12:40] 3 tn Grk “houses,” “households”; however, the term can have the force of “property” or “possessions” as well (O. Michel, TDNT 5:131; BDAG 695 s.v. οἶκια 1.a).
