8:14 Now ¹  they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

[8:14]  ¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “now” to indicate the transition to a new topic.

[7:27]  ² tn Or “lap dogs, house dogs,” as opposed to dogs on the street. The diminutive form originally referred to puppies or little dogs, then to house pets. In some Hellenistic uses κυνάριον (kunarion) simply means “dog.”
