Matthew 14:28-29

14:28 Peter ¹  said to him, ²  “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.” 14:29 So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Matthew 17:15

17:15 and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures ³  and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.

[14:28]  ² tn Grk “answering him, Peter said.” The participle ἀποκριθείς (apokriqeis) is redundant and has not been translated.

[17:15]  ³ tn Grk “he is moonstruck,” possibly meaning “lunatic” (so NAB, NASB), although now the term is generally regarded as referring to some sort of seizure disorder such as epilepsy (L&N 23.169; BDAG 919 s.v. σεληνιάζομαι).
