Matthew 21:11

21:11 And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth ¹  in Galilee.”

Matthew 21:15-16

21:15 But when the chief priests and the experts in the law ²  saw the wonderful things he did and heard the children crying out in the temple courts, ³  “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became indignant 21:16 and said to him, “Do you hear what they are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouths of children and nursing infants you have prepared praise for yourself’?” ⁴ 

Matthew 21:46

21:46 They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ⁵  regarded him as a prophet.

[21:46]  ⁴ tn Grk “they”; the referent (the crowds) has been specified in the translation for clarity. Both previous occurrences of “they” in this verse refer to the chief priests and the Pharisees.
