25:12 But he replied, ¹  ‘I tell you the truth, ²  I do not know you!’

Matthew 26:70

26:70 But he denied it in front of them all: ³  “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

Matthew 26:72

26:72 He denied it again with an oath, “I do not know the man!”

[25:12]  ¹ tn Grk “But answering, he said.” This is somewhat redundant and has been simplified in the translation.

[25:12]  ² tn Grk “Truly (ἀμήν, amhn), I say to you.”

[26:70]  ³ tn Grk “he denied it…saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant in English and has not been translated.
