5:15 People ¹  do not light a lamp and put it under a basket ²  but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

[9:10]  ³ tn Grk “And it happened that while.” The introductory phrase καὶ ἐγένετο (kai egeneto, “it happened that”) is redundant in contemporary English and has not been translated.
