Micah 1:16

Context

1:16 Shave your heads bald as you mourn for the children you love; 1 

shave your foreheads as bald 2  as an eagle, 3 

for they are taken from you into exile.

With what 5  should I bow before the sovereign God? 6 

Should I enter his presence with burnt offerings,

with year-old calves?

until the time when the woman in labor 10  gives birth. 11 

Then the rest of the king’s 12  countrymen will return
