Micah 2:11

Context

2:11 If a lying windbag should come and say, 1 

‘I’ll promise you blessings of wine and beer,’ 2 

he would be just the right preacher for these people! 3 

Micah 4:4-5

Context

4:4 Each will sit under his own grapevine

or under his own fig tree without any fear. 4 

The Lord who commands armies has decreed it. 5 

4:5 Though all the nations follow their respective gods, 6 

we will follow 7  the Lord our God forever.

Micah 7:2

Context

7:2 Faithful men have disappeared 8  from the land;

there are no godly men left. 9 

They all wait in ambush so they can shed blood; 10 

they hunt their own brother with a net. 11 

Micah 7:6

Context

7:6 For a son thinks his father is a fool,

a daughter challenges 12  her mother,

and a daughter-in-law her mother-in-law;

a man’s enemies are his own servants. 13

[2:11]  1 tn Heb “if a man, coming [as] wind and falsehood, should lie”; NASB “walking after wind and falsehood”; NIV “a liar and a deceiver.”
