Matthew 21:21

Context
21:21 Jesus 1  answered them, “I tell you the truth, 2  if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

Mark 11:23-24

Context
11:23 I tell you the truth, 3  if someone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 11:24 For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

James 1:6-8

Context
1:6 But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. 1:7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, 1:8 since he is a double-minded individual, 4  unstable in all his ways.

[21:21]  1 tn Grk “And answering, Jesus said.” This is somewhat redundant and has been simplified in the translation.

[21:21]  2 tn Grk “Truly (ἀμήν, amhn), I say to you.”

[11:23]  3 tn Grk “Truly (ἀμήν, amhn), I say to you.”

[1:8]  4 tn Grk “a man of two minds,” continuing the description of the person in v. 7, giving the reason that he cannot expect to receive anything. The word for “man” or “individual” is ἀνήρ (anhr), which often means “male” or “man (as opposed to woman).” But it sometimes is used generically to mean “anyone,” “a person,” as here (cf. BDAG 79 s.v. 2).
