10:9 The Levites were as follows:

Jeshua ¹  son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel.

Nehemiah 11:24

11:24 Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, one of the descendants of Zerah son of Judah, was an adviser to the king ²  in every matter pertaining to the people.

[10:9]  ¹ tc With many medieval Hebrew manuscripts and the ancient versions the translation reads יְשׁוּעַ (yÿshua’, “Jeshua”) rather than the reading וְיֵשׁוּעַ (vÿyeshua’, “and Jeshua”) of BHS.

[11:24]  ² tn Heb “to the hand of the king.”
