[13:31]  1 tn The words “I also provided for” are not included in the Hebrew text, but are supplied in the translation for the sake of clarity.

[8:15]  2 tn Heb “a voice.”

[8:15]  3 map For location see Map5 B1; Map6 F3; Map7 E2; Map8 F2; Map10 B3; JP1 F4; JP2 F4; JP3 F4; JP4 F4.

[10:35]  3 tn The words “we accept responsibility” are not included in the Hebrew text, but are inferred from v. 33 (so also in v. 37).

[2:8]  4 tn Or “forest.” So HALOT 963 s.v. פַּרְדֵּס 2.

[2:8]  5 tc One medieval Hebrew MS, the Syriac Peshitta, Vulgate, and the Arabic read here the plural וּלְחוֹמוֹת (ulÿkhomot, “walls”) against the singular וּלְחוֹמַת (ulÿkhomat) in the MT. The plural holem vav (וֹ) might have dropped out due to dittography or the plural form might have been written defectively.

[2:8]  6 tn The Hebrew text does not include the expression “these requests,” but it is implied.

[8:4]  5 tn Heb “a tower of wood.”

[9:25]  6 tn Heb “they ate and were sated.” This expression is a hendiadys. The first verb retains its full verbal sense, while the second functions adverbially: “they ate and were filled” = “they ate until they were full.”

[10:34]  7 tn Heb “the house of our fathers.”

[10:37]  8 tn Heb “a tithe of our land.”

[10:37]  9 tn Heb “of our work.”
