7:73 The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all the rest of Israel lived in their cities.

8:17 So all the assembly which had returned from the exile constructed temporary shelters and lived in them. The Israelites had not done so from the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day. Everyone experienced very great joy. 3

11:3 These are the provincial leaders 4  who settled in Jerusalem. (While other Israelites, the priests, the Levites, the temple attendants, and the sons of the servants of Solomon settled in the cities of Judah, each on his own property in their cities,

[7:73]  1 tn Heb “the sons of Israel.” So also in vv. 14, 17; 9:1.

[7:73]  2 tn The traditional understanding of the chapter and verse division here is probably incorrect. The final part of v. 73 is best understood as belonging with 8:1.

[8:17]  3 tn Heb “And there was very great joy.”

[11:3]  5 tn Heb “the heads of the province.”
