  Now blessing, honor, glory, praise By angels hosts are sung; The Church below her voice doth raise To join the heavenly throng. Adored be He Who comes to bless The nations with His love, To show His truth and righteousness, And every cloud remove. Blessèd be He Who comes to reign In Zion’s happy land! Jerusalem is built again, And shall forever stand. No more His kingdom shall decay; No more the temple fall; Here Jerusalem reigns with endless sway, The King and Lord of all.

  Stand up and bless the Lord Ye people of His choice; Stand up and bless the Lord your God With heart and soul and voice. Though high above all praise, Above all blessing high, Who would not fear His holy Name, And laud and magnify? O for the living flame From His own altar brought, To touch our lips, our minds inspire, And wing to heaven our thought! There, with benign regard, Our hymns He deigns to hear; Though unrevealed to mortal sense, Our spirits feel Him near. God is our Strength and Song, And His salvation ours; Then be His love in Christ proclaimed With all our ransomed powers. Stand up and bless the Lord; The Lord your God adore; Stand up and bless His glorious Name; Henceforth forevermore.

• [Neh 9:6] Lord Our God Alone Is Strong, The

  The Lord our God alone is strong; His hands build not for one brief day; His wondrous works, through ages long, His wisdom and His power display. His mountains lift their solemn forms, To watch in silence o’er the land; The rolling ocean, rocked with storms, Sleeps in the hollow of His hand. Beyond the heavens He sits alone, The universe obeys His nod; The lightning rifts disclose His throne, And thunders voice the Name of God. Thou sovereign God, receive this gift Thy willing servants offer Thee; Accept the prayers that thousands lift, And let these halls Thy temple be. And let those learn, who here shall meet, True wisdom is with reverence crowned, And science walks with humble feet To seek the God that faith hath found.

• [Neh 9:10] Joy Is A Fruit That Will Not Grow

  Joy is a fruit that will not grow In nature’s barren soil; All we can boast, till Christ we know, Is vanity and toil. But where the Lord has planted grace; And made His glories known; There fruits of heavenly joy and peace Are found, and there alone. A bleeding Savior seen by faith, A sense of pard’ning love; A hope that triumphs over death, Give joys like those above. To take a glimpse within the veil, To know that God is mine; Are springs of joy that never fail, Unspeakably divine! These are the joys which satisfy, And sanctify the mind; Which make the spirit mount on high, And leave the world behind. No more, believers, mourn your lot, But if you are the Lord’s; Resign to them that know Him not, Such joys as earth affords.

  Honor and glory, thanksgiving and praise, Maker of all things, to Thee we upraise; God the Almighty, the Father, the Lord; God by the angels obeyed and adored. Thou art the Father of Heaven and earth; Worlds uncreated to Thee owe their birth; All the creation, Thy voice when it heard, Started to life and to light at Thy Word. Onward the sun and the moon and their march Span with the rainbow the firmament’s arch; Stars yet unknown, and whose light is to come, Find in creation their place and a home. Earth with the mountain, the river, the plain, Sky with the dew-drop, the wind, and the rain, Beast of the forest, wild bird of the air, All are Thy creatures, and all are Thy care. Ocean the restless, and waters that swell, Lightnings that flash over flood, over fell, Own Thee the Master Almighty, and call Thee the Creator, the Father, of all. Yea, Thou art Father of all, and Thy love Pity for man that is fallen doth move; Guide us in life, and protect to the last; And, at Thine Advent, Lord, pardon the past.
