Numbers 18:14

18:14 “Everything devoted ¹  in Israel will be yours.

Numbers 36:2

36:2 They said, “The Lord commanded my lord to give ²  the land as an inheritance by lot to the Israelites; and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.

[18:14]  ¹ tn The “ban” (חֵרֶם, kherem) in Hebrew describes that which is exclusively the Lord’s, either for his sanctuary use, or for his destruction. It seems to refer to an individual’s devoting something freely to God.

[36:2]  ² tn The infinitive construct “to give” serves here as the complement or object of the verb, answering what the Lord had commanded Moses.
