Numbers 22:24

22:24 Then the angel of the Lord stood in a path ¹  among the vineyards, where there was a wall on either side. ²

23:2 So Balak did just as Balaam had said. Balak and Balaam then offered on each ³  altar a bull and a ram.

[22:24]  ¹ tn The word means a “narrow place,” having the root meaning “to be deep.” The Greek thought it was in a field in a narrow furrow.

[22:24]  ² tn Heb “a wall on this side, and a wall on that side.”

[23:2]  ³ tn The Hebrew text has “on the altar,” but since there were seven of each animal and seven altars, the implication is that this means on each altar.
