5:10 Every man’s holy things ¹  will be his; whatever any man gives the priest will be his.’”

The Western Border of the Land

34:6 “‘And for a western border ³  you will have the Great Sea. ⁴  This will be your western border.

Numbers 34:9

34:9 The border will continue to Ziphron, and its direction will be to Hazar Enan. This will be your northern border.

Numbers 35:3

35:3 Thus they will have towns in which to live, and their grazing lands will be for their cattle, for their possessions, and for all their animals.

[5:10]  ¹ sn The “holy gifts” are described with the root of קֹדֶשׁ (qodesh) to convey that they were separate. Such things had been taken out of the ordinary and normal activities of life.

[24:18]  ² sn Seir is the chief mountain range of Edom (Deut 33:2), and so the reference here is to the general area of Edom.

[34:6]  ³ tn The word for west is simply “sea,” because the sea is west of Israel.

[34:6]  ⁴ sn That is, the Mediterranean Sea (also in the following verse).
