[8:8]  1 sn The first sacrifice was for the purification of the Levites. The second animal, which Moses was to take, would be used for the purification of the tabernacle from all pollution.

[23:4]  2 tn The relative pronoun is added here in place of the conjunction to clarify that Balaam is speaking to God and not vice versa.

[23:14]  3 tn Heb “he brought him”; the referents (Balak and Balaam) have been specified in the translation for clarity.
