  Being of beings, God of love; To Thee our hearts we raise; Thy all sustaining power we prove, And gladly sing Thy praise. Thine, wholly Thine, we pant to be; Our sacrifice receive; Made, and preserved, and saved by Thee, To Thee ourselves we give. Heav’nward our every wish aspires, For all Thy mercy’s store; The sole return Thy love requires, Is that we ask for more. For more we ask: we open then Our hearts to embrace Thy will; Turn and revive us, Lord, again, With all Thy fullness fill. Come, Holy Ghost, the Savior’s love Shed in our hearts abroad; So shall we ever live, and move, And be, with Christ, in God.

  Come, Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove, With all Thy quick’ning powers; Kindle a flame of sacred love In these cold hearts of ours. In vain we tune our formal songs, In vain we strive to rise; Hosannas languish on our tongues, And our devotion dies. Dear Lord! and shall we ever live At this poor dying rate?   I am so glad that our Father in Heav’n Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n; Wonderful things in the Bible I see, This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me. Refrain I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me. Though I forget Him, and wander away, Still He doth love me wherever I stray; Back to His dear loving arms I do flee, When I remember that Jesus loves me.
