• [Psa 77:6] My Song In The Night

  When out on life’s ocean, the waves dashing high, While waters are troubled, and no help is nigh, I’ll sing Ebenezer and watch for the light, “And call to remembrance my song in the night.” Refrain “My song in the night, my song in the night; I call to remembrance my song in the night.” God’s promise is sure, and we’re safe in His care, He’ll help all His children their burdens to bear; To Him let us look to be kept in the right, “And call to remembrance our song in the night.” Refrain The blood of the Savior will cleanse every one; O sinner, He’ll save you if only you’ll come; Accept of His mercy, your way will be bright, Then sing with the saved ones your “song in the night.” Refrain The home over there will be soon our abode, Tho’ straight is the way oftentimes rough the road; But Jesus our Guide is the Way and the Light, I call to remembrance my song in the night. Lamentations 3:40-41

• [Lam 3:41] Lift Up Your Hearts

  “Lift up your hearts!” We lift them, Lord, to Thee; Here at Thy feet none other may we see; “Lift up your hearts!” E’en so, with one accord, We lift them up, we lift them to the Lord. Above the level of the former years, The mire of sin, the weight of guilty fears, The mist of doubt, the blight of love’s decay, O Lord of Light, lift all our hearts today! Above the swamps of subterfuge and shame, The deeds, the thoughts, that honor may not name, The halting tongue that dares not tell the whole, O Lord of Truth, lift every Christian soul! Above the storms that vex this lower state, Pride, jealousy, and envy, rage, and hate, And cold mistrust that holds e’en friends apart, O Lord of Love, lift every brother’s heart! Lift every gift that Thou Thyself hast given; Low lies the best till lifted up to heaven; Low lie the bounding heart, the teeming brain, Till, sent from God, they mount to God again. Then, as the trumpet call, in after years, “Lift up your hearts!” rings pealing in our ears, Still shall those hearts respond, with full accord “We lift them up, we lift them to the Lord!”

• [Lam 3:41] We Lift Our Hearts To Thee

  We lift our hearts to Thee, O Day Star from on high! The sun itself is but Thy shade, Yet cheers both earth and sky. O let Thine orient beams The night of sin disperse, The mists of error and of vice Which shade the universe. How beauteous nature now: How dark and sad before! With joy we view the pleasing change, And nature’s God adore. O may no gloomy crime Pollute the rising day; Or Jesus’ blood, like evening dew, Wash all the stains away. May we this life improve, To mourn for errors past; And live this short, revolving day As if it were our last. To God—the Father, Son, And Spirit—One in Three, Be glory; as it was, is now, And shall forever be.
