Psalms 42:1-3
- Harap Akan Tuhan [KJ.445]
1. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan
dalam susahmu. Jangan resah, tabah berserah,
kar'na habis malam pagi merekah. Dalam derita
dan kemelut Tuhan yang setia, Penolongmu!
2. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan
dalam susahmu. Walau sendu, hatimu remuk,
Tuhan mengatasi tiap kemelut. Ya Tuhan, tolong
'ku yang lemah: setiaMu kokoh selamanya!3. Harap akan Tuhan, hai jiwaku! Dia perlindungan
dalam susahmu. Jalan sedih nanti berhenti;
Yesus memberikan hidup abadi. Habis derita di dunia,
purna sukacita. Haleluya!Play

[Psa 42:1] As Pants The Hart For Cooling Streams
As pants the hart for cooling streams,
When heated in the chase,
So longs my soul, O God, for Thee
And Thy refreshing grace.For Thee, my God, the living God,
My thirsty soul doth pine;
O, when shall I behold Thy face,
Thou majesty divine?God of my strength, how long shall I
Like one forgotten mourn,
Forlorn, forsaken and exposed
To my oppressor’s scorn?Why restless, why cast down, my soul?
Hope still; and thou shalt sing
The praise of Him Who is thy God,
Thy health’s eternal spring.To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The God Whom we adore,
Be glory as it was, is now,
And shall be evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 42:1] As Pants The Hart For Streams
As pants the hart for streams of living water,
So longs my soul, O living God, for Thee;
I thirst for Thee, for Thee my heart is yearning;
When shall I come Thy gracious face to see?O Lord my God, overwhelmed in deep affliction,
Far from Thy rest, to Thee I lift my soul;
Deep calls to deep and storms of trouble thunder,
While over my head the waves and billows roll.Thou wilt command Thy servant’s consolation,
Thy lovingkindness yet shall cheer my day,
And in the night Thy song shall be my comfort;
God of my life, to Thee I still will pray.Why, O my soul, art thou cast down within me,
Why art thou troubled and oppressed with grief?
Hope thou in God, the God of thy salvation,
Hope, and thy God will surely send relief.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 42:1] As Thirsts The Hart For Water Brooks
As thirst the hart for water brooks,
So thirsts my soul, O God, for Thee;
It seeks for God, and ever looks,
And longs the living God to see,
And longs the living God to see.Far from the courts of God, my tears
Have been my food by night and day,
While constantly with bitter sneers,
Where is thy God? the scoffers say,
Where is thy God? the scoffers say.With grief I think of days gone by,
When oft I trod the hallowed way
To Zion, praising God on high
With throngs who kept the holy day,
With throngs who kept the holy day.O why art thou cast down, my soul,
And why so troubled shouldst thou be?
Hope thou in God, and Him extol,
Who gives His saving help to me,
Who gives His saving help to me.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

[Psa 42:2] Sweet Place
Sweet place; sweet place alone!
The court of God most high,
The heaven of heavens, the throne
Of spotless majesty!Refrain
O happy place!
When shall I be, my God, with Thee,
To see Thy face?The stranger homeward bends,
And sigheth for his rest:
Heaven is my home, my friends
Lodge there in Abraham’s breast.Refrain
Earth’s but a sorry tent,
Pitched but a few frail days,
A short leased tenement;
Heaven’s still my song, my praise.Refrain
No tears from any eyes
Drop in that holy choir:
But death itself there dies,
And sighs themselves expire.Refrain
There should temptations cease,
My frailties there should end.
There should I rest in peace
In the arms of my best friend.Refrain
Jerusalem on high
My song and city is,
My home whene’er I die,
The center of my bliss.Refrain
Thy walls, sweet city! thine
With pearls are garnished,
Thy gates with praises shine,
Thy streets with gold are spread.Refrain
No sun by day shines there,
No moon by silent night.
O no! these needless are;
The Lamb’s the city’s light.Refrain
There dwells my Lord, my King,
Judged here unfit to live;
There angels to Him sing,
And lowly homage give.Refrain
The patriarchs of old
There from their travels cease:
The prophets there behold
Their longed for Prince of peace.Refrain
The Lamb’s apostles there
I might with joy behold:
The harpers I might hear
Harping on harps of gold.Refrain
The bleeding martyrs, they
Within those courts are found;
All clothed in pure array,
Their scars with glory crowned.Refrain
Ah me! ah me! that I
In Kedar’s tents here stay;
No place like this on high;
Thither, Lord! guide my way.Refrain

[Psa 63:1] Early, My God, Without Delay
Early, my God, without delay,
I haste to seek Thy face;
My thirsty spirit faints away
Without Thy cheering grace.So pilgrims on the scorching sand,
Beneath a burning sky,
Long for a cooling stream at hand,
And they must drink or die.I’ve seen Thy glory and Thy power
Through all Thy temple shine;
My God, repeat that heav’nly hour,
That vision so divine.Not all the blessings of a feast
Can please my soul so well,
As when Thy richer grace I taste,
And in Thy presence dwell.Not life itself, with all her joys,
Can my best passions move,
Or raise so high my cheerful voice,
As Thy forgiving love.Thus till my last expiring day
I’ll bless my God and King;
Thus will I lift my hands to pray,
And tune my lips to sing.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] Hand In Hand
Now begin the heavenly race—
The Savior calls today;
Let us early seek His face,
And early learn to pray.Refrain
Hand in hand we’ll journey on,
Reaching forward to the prize,
Hoping, trusting in the Lord,
Where all our vigor lies.He Who left His Father’s throne,
To suffer, bleed and die,
He Who made our grief his own,
Will every want supply.Refrain
They who on His Name believe,
And patiently endure,
Life eternal shall receive,
And find His mercy sure.Refrain
Now begin the heavenly race,
No more, no more delay;
To the healing fount of grace,
Rejoicing, haste away.Refrain

[Psa 63:1] I Hunger And I Thirst
I hunger and I thirst,
Jesu, my manna be;
Ye living waters, burst
Out of the rock for me.Thou bruised and broken Bread,
My life-long wants supply;
As living souls are fed,
O feed me, or I die.Thou true life-giving Vine,
Let me Thy sweetness prove;
Renew my life with Thine,
Refresh my soul with love.Rough paths my feet have trod
Since first their course began;
Feed me, Thou Bread of God;
Help me, Thou Son of Man.For still the desert lies
My thirsting soul before;
O living waters, rise
Within me evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] My God! Permit My Tongue
My God, permit my tongue
This joy, to call Thee mine;
And let my early cries prevail
To taste Thy love divine.My thirsty, fainting soul
Thy mercy doth implore;
Not travelers in desert lands
Can pant for water more.Within Thy churches, Lord,
I long to find my place;
Thy power and glory to behold,
And feel Thy quick’ning grace.For life without Thy love
No relish can afford;
No joy can be compared to this,
To serve and please the Lord.To Thee I’ll lift my hands,
And praise Thee while I live;
Not the rich dainties of a feast
Such food or pleasure give.In wakeful hours at night
I call my God to mind;
I think how wise Thy counsels are,
And all Thy dealings kind.Since thou hast been my help,
To Thee my spirit flies,
And on Thy watchful providence
My cheerful hope relies.The shadow of Thy wings
My soul in safety keeps;
I follow where my Father leads,
And He supports my steps.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] O God, My God, My All Thou Art!
O God, my God, my all Thou art!
Ere shines the dawn of rising day,
Thy sovereign light within my heart,
Thy all enlivening power display.For Thee my thirsty soul doth pant,
While in this desert land I live;
And hungry as I am, and faint,
Thy love alone can comfort give.In a dry land, behold I place
My whole desire on Thee, O Lord;
And more I joy to gain Thy grace,
Than all earth’s treasures can afford.More dear than life itself, Thy love
My heart and tongue shall still employ
And to declare Thy praise will prove
My peace, my glory, and my joy.In blessing Thee with grateful songs
My happy life shall glide away;
The praise that to Thy Name belongs
Hourly with lifted hands I’ll pay.Abundant sweetness, while I sing
Thy love, my ravished heart o’erflows;
Secure in Thee, my God and King,
Of glory that no period knows.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] O God, Thou Art My God Alone
O God, Thou art my God alone;
Early to Thee my soul shall cry;
A pilgrim in a land unknown,
A thirsty land whose springs are dry.O that it were as it hath been!
When, praying in the holy place,
Thy power and glory I have seen,
And marked the footsteps of Thy grace.Yet, through this rough and thorny maze,
I follow hard on Thee, my God;
Thy hand, unseen, upholds my ways;
I safely tread where Thou hast trod.Thee, in the watches of the night,
When I remember on my bed;
Thy presence makes the darkness light,
Thy guardian wings are round my head.Better than life itself Thy love,
Dearer than all beside to me;
For whom have I in Heaven above,
Or what on earth, compared to Thee?Praise with my heart, my mind, my voice,
For all Thy mercy I will give;
My soul shall still in God rejoice;
My tongue shall bless Thee while I live.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] O Lord, My God, Most Earnestly
O Lord, my God, most earnestly
My heart would seek Thy face,
Within Thy holy house once more
To see Thy glorious grace.Apart from Thee I long and thirst,
And naught can satisfy;
I wander in a desert land
Where all the streams are dry.The lovingkindness of my God
Is more than life to me;
So I will bless Thee while I live
And lift my prayer to Thee.In Thee my soul is satisfied,
My darkness turns to light;
And joyful meditations fill
The watches of the night.My Savior, ’neath Thy sheltering wings
My soul delights to dwell;
Still closer to Thy side I press,
For near Thee all is well.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] O Saints Of Old, Nor Yours Alone
O saints of old, not yours alone
The search for God shall be;
We take the glory for our own;
Lord, we are seeking Thee.Not only when ascends the song
And soundeth sweet the word;
Not only with the Sabbath throng,
Our souls would seek the Lord.We would not to our daily task
Without our God repair,
But in the world His presence ask,
And seek His glory there.O everywhere, O every day,
The grace is still outpoured;
We work, we watch, we strive, we pray,
Behold Thy seekers, Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] Thou Art My God, O God Of Grace
Thou art my God, O God of grace,
And earnestly I seek Thy face,
My heart cries out for Thee;
My spirit thirsts Thy grace to taste,
An exile in this desert waste
In which no waters be,
In which no waters be.I long as in the times of old
Thy power and glory to behold
Within Thy holy place;
Because Thy tender love I see,
More precious far than life to me,
My lips shall praise Thy grace,
My lips shall praise Thy grace.Thus will I bless Thee while I live,
And with uplifted hands will give
Praise to Thy holy Name;
When by Thy bounty well supplied,
Then shall my soul be satisfied,
My mouth shall praise proclaim,
My mouth shall praise proclaim.My lips shall in Thy praise delight
When on my bed I rest at night
And meditate on Thee;
Because Thy hand assistance brings,
Beneath the shadow of Thy wings
My heart shall joyful be,
My heart shall joyful be.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] When Mother Love Makes All Things Bright
When mother love makes all things bright,
When joy comes with the morning light,
When children gather round their tree,
Thou Christmas Babe, we sing of Thee.When manhood’s brows are bent in thought
To learn what men of old have taught,
When eager hands seek wisdom’s key,
Wise Temple Child, we learn of Thee.When doubts assail, and perils fright,
When, groping blindly in the night,
We strive to read life’s mystery,
Man of the Mount, we turn to Thee.When shadows of the valley fall,
When sin and death the soul appall,
One light we through the darkness see—
Christ on the Cross, we cry to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:1] While Thee I Seek, Protecting Power
While Thee I seek, protecting Power,
Be my vain wishes stilled;
And may this consecrated hour
With better hopes be filled.Thy love the power of thought bestowed;
To Thee my thoughts would soar:
Thy mercy o’er my life has flowed;
That mercy I adore.In each event of life, how clear
Thy ruling hand I see!
Each blessing to my soul more dear,
Because conferred by Thee.In every joy that crowns my days,
In every pain I bear,
My heart shall find delight in praise,
Or seek relief in prayer.When gladness wings my favored hour,
Thy love my thoughts shall fill;
Resigned, when storms of sorrow lower,
My soul shall meet Thy will.My lifted eye, without a tear,
The gathering storm shall see:
My steadfast heart shall know no fear;
That heart will rest on Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:2] O God, Thy Power Is Wonderful
O God, Thy power is wonderful,
Thy glory passing bright;
Thy wisdom, with its deep on deep,
A rapture to the sight.I see Thee in the eternal years
In glory all alone,
Ere round Thine uncreated fires
Created light had shone.I see Thee walk in Eden’s shade,
I see Thee all through time;
Thy patience and compassion seem
New attributes sublime.I see Thee when the doom is o’er,
And outworn time is done,
Still, still incomprehensible,
O God, yet not alone.Angelic spirits, countless souls,
Of Thee have drunk their fill;
And to eternity will drink
Thy joy and glory still.O little heart of mine! shall pain
Or sorrow make thee moan,
When all this God is all for thee,
A Father all thine own?Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 63:3] Savior, More Than Life
Savior, more than life to me,
I am clinging, clinging, close to Thee;
Let Thy precious blood applied,
Keep me ever, ever near Thy side.Refrain
Every day, every hour,
Let me feel Thy cleansing power;
May Thy tender love to me
Bind me closer, closer, Lord to Thee.Through this changing world below,
Lead me gently, gently as I go;
Trusting Thee, I cannot stray,
I can never, never lose my way.Refrain
Let me love Thee more and more,
Till this fleeting, fleeting life is o’er;
Till my soul is lost in love,
In a brighter, brighter world above.Refrain

Psalms 77:1-3
-
[Psa 77:1] To God I Cried With Mournful Voice
To God I cried with mournful voice,
I sought His gracious ear,
In the sad day when troubles rose,
And filled the night with fear.Sad were my days, and dark my nights,
My soul refused relief;
I thought on God the just and wise,
But thoughts increased my grief.Still I complained, and still oppressed,
My heart began to break;
My God, Thy wrath forbade my rest,
And kept my eyes awake.My overwhelming sorrows grew,
Till I could speak no more;
Then I within myself withdrew,
And called Thy judgments o’er.I called back years and ancient times
When I beheld Thy face;
My spirit searched for secret crimes
That might withhold Thy grace.I called Thy mercies to my mind
Which I enjoyed before;
And will the Lord no more be kind?
His face appear no more?Will He for ever cast me off?
His promise ever fail?
Has He forgot His tender love?
Shall anger still prevail?But I forbid this hopeless thought;
This dark, despairing frame,
Rememb’ring what Thy hand hath wrought;
Thy hand is still the same.I’ll think again of all Thy ways,
And talk Thy wonders o’er;
Thy wonders of recovering grace,
When flesh could hope no more.Grace dwells with justice on the throne;
And men that love Thy Word
Have in Thy sanctuary known
The counsels of the Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 77:2] In Time Of Tribulation
In time of tribulation, hear, Lord, my feeble cries;
With humble supplication to Thee my spirit flies;
My heart with grief is breaking, scarce can my voice complain;
Mine eyes with tears kept waking, still watch and weep in vain.The days of old, in vision, bring banished bliss to view;
The years of lost fruition, their joys in pangs renew;
Remembered songs of gladness, through nights lone silence brought,
Strike notes of deeper sadness, and stir desponding thought.Hath God cast off forever? Can time His truth impair?
His tender mercy never shall I presume to share?
Hath He His loving kindness shut up in endless wrath?
No; this is mine own blindness, that cannot see His path.I call to recollection the years of His right hand;
And, strong in His protection, again through faith I stand;
Thy deeds, O Lord, are wondrous; holy are all Thy ways;
The secret place of thunder shall utter forth Thy praise.Thee, with the tribes assembled, O God, the billows saw;
They saw Thee, and they trembled, turned, and stood still with awe;
The clouds shot hail and lightning; the earth reeled to and fro;
Thy fiery pillar brightened the gulf of gloom below.Thy way is in great waters, Thy footsteps are not known;
Let Adam’s sons and daughters confide in Thee alone:
Through the wild sea Thou leadest Thy chosen flock of yore;
Still on the waves Thou treadest, and Thy redeemed pass o’er.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 77:3] To God Will I Direct My Prayer
To God will I direct my prayer,
And He will make my needs His care;
I trust Him still, though in my grief
No answer yet has brought relief;
With hands outstretched through all the night,
Uncomforted I sought for light.The thought of God brought me no peace,
But rather made my fears increase;
With sleepless eyes and speechless pain
My fainting spirit grieved in vain;
The blessedness of long ago
Made deeper still my present woe.Recalling days when faith was bright,
When songs of gladness filled my night,
I pondered o’er my grievous woes
And searching questioning arose;
Will God cast off, and nevermore
His favor to my soul restore?I asked in fear and bitterness:
Will God forsake me in distress?
Shall I His promise faithless find?
Has God forgotten to be kind?
Has He in anger hopelessly
Removed His love and grace from me?These doubts and fears that troubled me
Were born of my infirmity;
Though I am weak, God is most high,
And on His goodness I rely;
Of all His wonders, I will tell,
And on His deeds my thoughts shall dwell.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 119:81-83
-
[Psa 119:81] My Soul For Thy Salvation Faints
My soul for Thy salvation faints,
But still I hope in Thee;
I long to see Thy promised help,
When Thou shalt comfort me.Thy statutes I do not forget,
Though wasting grief I know;
Thy servant’s days are few, O Lord:
When wilt Thou judge my foe?The proud, disdainful of Thy law,
Entrap me wrongfully;
O Thou, whose law is just and true,
Help and deliver me.Almost consumed, yet from Thy law
I have not turned away;
In lovingkindness give me strength,
That I may still obey.Play source: Cyberhymnal
