Psalms 75:7

75:7 For God is the judge! ¹ 

He brings one down and exalts another. ² 

Isaiah 2:12

2:12 Indeed, the Lord who commands armies has planned a day of judgment, ³ 

for ⁴  all the high and mighty,

for all who are proud – they will be humiliated;

James 1:9-10

1:9 Now the believer ⁵  of humble means ⁶  should take pride ⁷  in his high position. ⁸  1:10 But the rich person’s pride should be in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a wildflower in the meadow. ⁹ 

James 4:10

[1:9]  ⁶ tn Grk “the lowly brother,” but “lowly/humble” is clarified in context by the contrast with “wealthy” in v. 10.
