[78:11]  1 tn Heb “his deeds.”

[78:42]  2 tn Heb “his hand,” symbolizing his saving activity and strength, as the next line makes clear.

[78:42]  3 tn Heb “[the] day [in] which he ransomed them from [the] enemy.”

[78:43]  4 tn Or “signs” (see Ps 65:8).

[78:43]  5 tn Or “portents, omens” (see Ps 71:7). The Egyptian plagues are referred to here (see vv. 44-51).

[86:5]  6 tn Or “for.”

[86:5]  7 tn Heb “good.”

[86:15]  8 tn Heb “slow to anger.”

[86:15]  9 tn Heb “and great of loyal love and faithfulness.”

[106:7]  10 tn Heb “Reed Sea” (also in vv. 9, 22). “Reed Sea” (or “Sea of Reeds”) is a more accurate rendering of the Hebrew expression יָם סוּף (yam suf), traditionally translated “Red Sea.” See the note on the term “Red Sea” in Exod 13:18.

[106:13]  11 tn Heb “his works.”

[106:13]  12 tn Heb “his counsel.”

[16:2]  13 tn Grk “But answering, he said to them.” The construction has been simplified in the translation and δέ (de) has not been translated.

[1:12]  14 tn Because of the difference between Greek style, which usually begins a sentence with a conjunction, and English style, which generally does not, the conjunction δέ (de) has not been translated here.

[1:12]  15 sn The Greek text and the KJV read Salathiel. Most modern English translations use the OT form of the name (cf. Ezra 3:2).
