Psalms 89:39-40

Context

89:39 You have repudiated 1  your covenant with your servant; 2 

you have thrown his crown to the ground. 3 

89:40 You have broken down all his 4  walls;

you have made his strongholds a heap of ruins.

Isaiah 23:9

23:9 The Lord who commands armies planned it –

to dishonor the pride that comes from all her beauty, 5 

to humiliate all the dignitaries of the earth.

Isaiah 43:28

43:28 So I defiled your holy princes,

and handed Jacob over to destruction,

and subjected 6  Israel to humiliating abuse.”

Isaiah 47:6

Context

47:6 I was angry at my people;
