Context93:1 The Lord reigns!
He is robed in majesty,
the Lord is robed,
he wears strength around his waist. 2
Indeed, the world is established, it cannot be moved.
93:2 Your throne has been secure from ancient times;
you have always been king. 3

[93:2] 3 tn Heb “from antiquity [are] you.” As the context suggests, this refers specifically to God’s royal position, not his personal existence.
[146:10] 4 tn Heb “for a generation and a generation.”
[3:6] 5 tn Heb “do not change.” This refers to God’s ongoing commitment to his covenant promises to Israel.
[6:17] 7 tn Or “immutable” (here and in v. 18); Grk “the unchangeableness of his purpose.”
[6:18] 8 tn Grk “have taken refuge”; the basis of that refuge is implied in the preceding verse.
