[103:6]  1 tn Heb “the Lord does fairness, and [acts of] justice for all the oppressed.”

[104:4]  2 tc Heb “and his attendants a flaming fire.” The lack of agreement between the singular “fire” and plural “attendants” has prompted various emendations. Some read “fire and flame.” The present translation assumes an emendation to “his attendant” (יו in the Hebrew text being virtually dittographic).

[104:19]  3 tn Heb “he made [the] moon for appointed times.” The phrase “appointed times” probably refers to the months of the Hebrew lunar calendar.

[104:19]  4 tn Heb more metaphorically, “knows its setting.”

[106:21]  4 tn Heb “forgot.”

[111:4]  5 tn Or “did,” if this refers primarily to the events of the exodus and conquest period (see vv. 6, 9).

[111:4]  6 tn Heb “a memorial he had made for his amazing deeds.”

[115:3]  6 sn He does whatever he pleases. Such sovereignty is characteristic of kings (see Eccl 8:3).

[115:15]  7 tn Or “maker.”

[119:124]  8 tn Heb “do with your servant according to your loyal love.”

[121:2]  9 tn Heb “my help [is] from with the Lord.”

[121:2]  10 tn Or “Maker.”

[124:8]  10 tn Heb “our help [is] in the name of the Lord.”

[124:8]  11 tn Or “Maker.”

[134:3]  11 tn The pronominal suffix is second masculine singular, suggesting that the servants addressed in vv. 1-2 are responding to the psalmist.

[134:3]  12 tn Heb “may the Lord bless you from Zion, the maker of heaven and earth.”
