105:19 until the time when his prediction ¹  came true.

The Lord’s word ²  proved him right. ³

swiftly his order reaches its destination. ⁸

he breathes on it, ¹⁰  and the water flows.

148:8 O fire and hail, snow and clouds, ¹¹ 

O stormy wind that carries out his orders, ¹² 

[105:19]  ¹ tn Heb “word,” probably referring to Joseph’s prediction about the fate of Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker (see Gen 41:9-14).

[105:19]  ² tn This line may refer to Joseph’s prediction of the famine in response to Pharaoh’s dream. Joseph emphasized to Pharaoh that the interpretation of the dream came from God (see Gen 41:16, 25, 28, 32, 39).

[105:28]  ⁴ tn Heb “he sent darkness and made it dark.”

[105:28]  ⁵ tn Heb “they did not rebel against his words.” Apparently this refers to Moses and Aaron, who obediently carried out God’s orders.
