Psalms 105:44

105:44 He handed the territory of nations over to them,

and they took possession of what other peoples had produced, ¹ 

Exodus 23:28-30

23:28 I will send ²  hornets before you that will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you. 23:29 I will not drive them out before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild animals ³  multiply against you. 23:30 Little by little ⁴  I will drive them out before you, until you become fruitful and inherit the land.

Joshua 23:13-15

23:13 know for certain that the Lord our God will no longer drive out these nations from before you. They will trap and ensnare you; ⁵  they will be a whip that tears ⁶  your sides and thorns that blind ⁷  your eyes until you disappear ⁸  from this good land the Lord your God gave you.

23:14 “Look, today I am about to die. ⁹  You know with all your heart and being ¹⁰  that not even one of all the faithful promises the Lord your God made to you is left unfulfilled; every one was realized – not one promise is unfulfilled! ¹¹  23:15 But in the same way every faithful promise the Lord your God made to you has been realized, ¹²  it is just as certain, if you disobey, that the Lord will bring on you every judgment ¹³  until he destroys you from this good land which the Lord your God gave you.

Joshua 24:12

24:12 I sent terror ¹⁴  ahead of you to drive out before you the two ¹⁵  Amorite kings. I gave you the victory; it was not by your swords or bows. ¹⁶ 

Nehemiah 9:22-25

9:22 “You gave them kingdoms and peoples, and you allocated them to every corner of the land. ¹⁷  They inherited the land of King Sihon of Heshbon ¹⁸  and the land of King Og of Bashan. 9:23 You multiplied their descendants like the stars of the sky. You brought them to the land you had told their ancestors to enter in order to possess. 9:24 Their descendants ¹⁹  entered and possessed the land. You subdued before them the Canaanites who were the inhabitants of the land. You delivered them into their hand, together with their kings and the peoples of the land, to deal with as they pleased. 9:25 They captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took possession of houses full of all sorts of good things – wells previously dug, vineyards, olive trees, and fruit trees in abundance. They ate until they were full ²⁰  and grew fat.
