Psalms 109:11

109:11 May the creditor seize ¹  all he owns!

May strangers loot his property! ²

Psalms 38:12

38:12 Those who seek my life try to entrap me; ⁵ 

those who want to harm me speak destructive words;

all day long they say deceitful things.

[109:11]  ² tn Heb “the product of his labor.”

[9:16]  ³ tn Heb “by the work of his hands [the] wicked [one] was ensnared. The singular form רָשָׁע (rasha’, “wicked”) is collective or representative here (see vv. 15, 17). The form נוֹקֵשׁ (noqesh) appears to be an otherwise unattested Qal form (active participle) from נָקַשׁ (naqash), but the form should be emended to נוֹקַשׁ (noqash), a Niphal perfect from יָקַשׁ (yaqash).
