Psalms 111:2-8
Context111:2 The Lord’s deeds are great,
eagerly awaited 1 by all who desire them.
111:3 His work is majestic and glorious, 2
and his faithfulness endures 3 forever.
111:4 He does 4 amazing things that will be remembered; 5
the Lord is merciful and compassionate.
111:5 He gives 6 food to his faithful followers; 7
he always remembers his covenant. 8
111:6 He announced that he would do mighty deeds for his people,
giving them a land that belonged to other nations. 9
111:7 His acts are characterized by 10 faithfulness and justice;
all his precepts are reliable. 11
111:8 They are forever firm,
and should be faithfully and properly carried out. 12
