[119:17]  ¹ tn The prefixed verbal form is probably a cohortative indicating purpose/result after the preceding imperative.

[119:17]  ² tn The cohortative with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the imperative that begins the verse.

[119:17]  ³ tn Heb “your word.” Many medieval Hebrew mss as well as several ancient versions read the plural here.

[119:127]  ⁴ tn “For this reason” connects logically with the statement made in v. 126. Because the judgment the psalmist fears (see vv. 119-120) is imminent, he remains loyal to God’s law.

[119:164]  ⁷ tn The number “seven” is use rhetorically to suggest thoroughness.

[124:5]  ¹⁰ tn Heb “then they would have passed over our being, the raging waters.”

[128:6]  ¹³ tn The imperative with prefixed vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the jussive in v. 5a.

[128:6]  ¹⁴ tn Heb “sons to your sons.”

[128:6]  ¹⁵ tn Heb “peace [be] upon Israel.” The statement is understood as a prayer (see Ps 125:5).

[149:5]  ¹⁶ tn Heb “in glory.” Here “glory” probably refers to the “honor” that belongs to the Lord’s people as a result of their deliverance (see v. 4).

[149:5]  ¹⁷ tn The significance of the reference to “beds” is unclear. Perhaps the point is that they should rejoice at all times, even when falling asleep or awaking.
