Psalms 119:21

119:21 You reprimand arrogant people.

Those who stray from your commands are doomed. ¹ 

Psalms 119:122

119:122 Guarantee the welfare of your servant! ² 

Do not let the arrogant oppress me!

Psalms 119:51

119:51 Arrogant people do nothing but scoff at me. ³ 

Yet I do not turn aside from your law.

Psalms 119:78

119:78 May the arrogant be humiliated, for they have slandered me! ⁴ 

But I meditate on your precepts.

[119:21]  ¹ tn Heb “accursed.” The traditional punctuation of the Hebrew text takes “accursed” with the previous line (“arrogant, accursed ones”), but it is preferable to take it with the second line as the predicate of the statement.
