135:19 O family ¹  of Israel, praise the Lord!

O family of Aaron, praise the Lord!

135:20 O family of Levi, praise the Lord!

You loyal followers ²  of the Lord, praise the Lord!

Psalms 66:8

66:8 Praise ³  our God, you nations!

Loudly proclaim his praise! ⁴

[135:20]  ² tn Heb “fearers.”

[66:8]  ³ tn Heb “bless,” in the sense of declaring “God to be the source of…special power” (see HALOT 160 s.v. II ברך pi).

[66:8]  ⁴ tn Heb “cause the voice of his praise to be heard.”
