  Come, let our souls adore the Lord Whose judgments yet delay; Who yet suspends the lifted sword, And gives us time to pray. Great is our guilt, our fears are great, But let us not despair; Still open is the mercy seat To penitence and prayer. Kind Intercessor, to Thy love This blessèd hope we owe; O let Thy mercies plead above, While we implore below! Though justice near Thy awful throne Attends Thy dread command, Lord, hear Thy servants, hear Thy Son, And save a guilty land.

  High on His everlasting throne, The King of saints His work surveys; Marks the dear souls He calls His own, And smiles on the peculiar race. He rests well pleased their toils to see; Beneath His easy yoke they move; With all their heart and strength agree In the sweet labor of His love. See where the servants of their Lord, A busy multitude, appear; For Jesus day and night employed, His heritage they toil to clear. Jesus their toil delighted sees, Their industry vouchsafes to crown; He kindly gives the wished increase, And sends the promised blessing down. • [Isa 66:1] Alleluia! Sing To Jesus!

  Alleluia! sing to Jesus! His the scepter, His the throne. Alleluia! His the triumph, His the victory alone. Hark! the songs of peaceful Zion thunder like a mighty flood. Jesus out of every nation has redeemed us by His blood. Alleluia! not as orphans are we left in sorrow now; Alleluia! He is near us, faith believes, nor questions how; Though the cloud from sight received Him when the forty days were o’er Shall our hearts forget His promise, “I am with you evermore”? Alleluia! bread of angels, Thou on earth our food, our stay; Alleluia! here the sinful flee to Thee from day to day: Intercessor, Friend of sinners, Earth’s Redeemer, plead for me, Where the songs of all the sinless sweep across the crystal sea. King eternal, Thee the Lord of lords we own; Alleluia! born of Mary, Earth Thy footstool, Heav’n Thy throne: Thou within the veil hast entered, robed in flesh our great High Priest; Thou on earth both priest and victim in the Eucharistic feast.
