  1. Jurus'lamat dunia, walau tak bersalah, bagai maling disergap pada waktu malam dan dihina, dicela didepan mahkamah, diludahi, dicerca oleh kaum ulama.	Luk 22:47-53 Luk 22:63-71

  My God, my God, I cry to Thee; O why hast Thou forsaken me? Afar from me, Thou dost not heed, Though day and night for help I plead. But Thou art holy in Thy ways, Enthroned upon Thy people’s praise; Our fathers put their trust in Thee, Believed, and Thou didst set them free. They cried, and, trusting in Thy Name, Were saved, and were not put to shame; But in the dust mine honor lies, While all reproach and all despise. My words a cause for scorn they make, The lip they curl, the head they shake, And, mocking, bid me trust the Lord Till He salvation shall afford. My trust on Thee I learned to rest When I was on my mother’s breast; From birth Thou art my God alone, Thy care my life has ever known. O let Thy strength and presence cheer, For trouble and distress are near; Be Thou not far away from Me, I have no source of help but Thee. Unnumbered foes would do me wrong, They press about me, fierce and strong, Like beasts of prey, their rage they vent, My courage fails, my strength is spent. Down unto death Thou leadest me, Consumed by thirst and agony; With cruel hate and anger fierce My helpless hands and feet they pierce.   Now let our mournful songs record The dying sorrows of our Lord, When He complained in tears and blood, As one forsaken of his God. The Jews beheld Him thus forlorn, And shake their heads, and laugh in scorn: “He rescued others from the grave; Now let him try himself to save. “This is the man did once pretend God was his Father and his Friend; If God the blessèd loved him so, Why doth He fail to help him now?” Barbarous people! cruel priests! How they stood round like savage beasts! Like lions gaping to devour, When God had left Him in their power. They wound His head, His hands, His feet, Till streams of blood each other meet; By lot His garments they divide, And mock the pangs in which He died. But God, the Father, heard His cry; Raised from the dead, He reigns on high; The nations learn His righteousness, And humble sinners taste His grace.

  O God, my God, wherefore dost Thou Forsake me utterly? And helpest not when I do make My great complaint and cry? To Thee, my God, e’en all day long I do both cry and call; I cease not all the night, and yet Thou hearest not at all. I was tormented so that I Might all my bones have told, Whilst they do look and stare at me, When they do me behold. My garments they divided have In parts among them all; And for my coat they did cast lots To whom it should befall. Therefore, I pray Thee, be not far From me at my great need, But rather, since Thou art my strength, To help me, Lord, make speed: And from the sword save Thou my soul By Thy might and Thy pow’r, And ever keep my darling dear From dogs that would devour; And from the lion’s mouth that would Me all in sunder tear; From ’midst the horns of unicorns, O Lord, Thou didst me hear. When shall I to my brethren all Thy Majesty record, And in Thy church shall praise the Name Of Thee the living Lord. All ye that fear Him, praise the Lord, Thou, Jacob, Him adore, And all ye seed of Israel, Fear Him for evermore. For He despiseth not the poor, He hideth not away His countenance when they do call, But hears them when they pray, Among the folk that fear the Lord, I will therefore proclaim Thy praise, and keep my promise made For setting forth Thy Name. The poor shall eat and be sufficed; Such as their minds do give To seek the Lord, and praise His Name, Their hearts shall ever live. The coasts of all the earth shall praise The Lord, and seek His grace; The heathen folk shall worship all Before His blessèd face. The kingdoms of the heathen folk The Lord shall have therefore; And he shall be their Governor And King for evermore. The rich men of His goodly gifts Shall taste and feed also, And in His presence worship Him, And bow their knees full low. And all that shall go down to dust, Of life by Him shall taste; A seed shall serve and worship Him, Till time away shall waste. They shall declare and plainly show His truth and righteousness, Unto a people yet unborn, Who shall His Name confess.

• [Psa 22:1] Why Has My God My Soul Forsook?

  Why has my God my soul forsook, Nor will a smile afford? Thus David once in anguish spoke, And thus our dying Lord. Though ’tis Thy chief delight to dwell Among Thy praising saints, Yet Thou canst hear a groan as well, And pity our complaints. Our fathers trusted in Thy Name, And great deliverance found; But I’m a worm, despised of men, And trodden to the ground. Shaking the head, they pass me by, And laugh my soul to scorn; “In vain he trusts in God,” they cry, “Neglected and forlorn.” But Thou art He Who formed my flesh By Thine almighty Word; And since I hung upon the breast, My hope is in the Lord. Why will my Father hide His face, When foes stand threatning round, In the dark hour of deep distress, And not a helper found? Behold Thy darling left among The cruel and the proud, As bulls of Bashan, fierce and strong, As lions roaring loud. From earth and hell My sorrows meet To multiply the smart; They nail My hands, they pierce My feet, And try to vex My heart. Yet if Thy sovereign hand let loose The rage of earth and hell, Why will my heav’nly Father bruise The Son He loves so well? My God, if possible it be, Withhold this bitter cup But I resign my will to Thee, And drink the sorrows up. My heart dissolves with pangs unknown, In groans I waste my breath; Thy heavy hand has brought Me down Low as the dust of death. Father, I give My Spirit up, And trust it in Thy hand; My dying flesh shall rest in hope, And rise at Thy command.

• [Psa 10:1] O Why So Far Removed

  O why so far removed, O Lord, And why so distant be; Why hidest Thou Thy face from us In our anxiety? The wicked in unholy pride The lowly poor oppress; Let them be taken in the snare Of their own craftiness. The wicked in his arrogance Refuses God to fear, Nor is it in his thoughts at all The sovereign God to hear. His ways are grievous and Thy laws Too high for him to see; He therefore his defiance bids, And taunts his enemy. For he within his heart has said, I suffer no distress, Adversity comes not to me, I still have had success. In cursing and deceit and fraud His tongue is ever skilled; With festering iniquity His mouth is ever filled. He lurks in village hiding place, And in dark corners bent, He watches for the humble poor, To seize the innocent. In stealth he cowers covertly As lion in his lair, That he may pounce upon the poor, And catch him in his snare. He crouches low so that the poor To his strong friends may fall, And tells himself that God forgets Or sees it not at all. Arise, O Lord, and lift Thy hand, The poor in memory keep. How can the wicked blaspheme God And say He is asleep? For surely Thou dost see, O Lord, Dost see the sin and spite; And when the helpless look to Thee Thou dost their wrong requite. Break Thou the force of evil men, Befriend the fatherless, Trace out the wicked everywhere, Uproot their wickedness. The Lord our God is sovereign still, The heathen all are slain. Thou, Lord, hast heard the suppliant’s prayer And dost his heart sustain. No more shall boasting arrogance Or taunting pride oppress; The poor and orphaned Thou wilt hear And judge with righteousness.

  Wherefore is it that Thou, O Lord, Dost stand from us afar? And wherefore hidest Thou Thyself, When times so troublous are? The wicked in his loftiness Doth persecute the poor: In these devices they have fram’d Let them be taken sure. The wicked of his heart’s desire Doth talk with boasting great; He blesseth him that’s covetous, Whom yet the Lord doth hate. The wicked, through his pride of face, On God he doth not call; And in the counsels of his heart The Lord is not at all. His ways they always grievous are; Thy judgments from his sight Removèd are: at all his foes He puffeth with despight. He thus hath said within his heart, The Lord hath quite forgot; He hides His countenance, and He For ever sees it not. O Lord, do Thou arise; O God, Lift up Thine hand on high: Put not the meek afflicted ones Out of Thy memory. Why is it that the wicked man Thus doth the Lord despise? Because that God will it require He in his heart denies. Thou hast it seen; for their mischief And spite Thou wilt repay: The poor commits himself to Thee; Thou art the orphan’s stay. The arm break of the wicked man, And of the evil one; Do Thou seek out his wickedness, Until Thou findest none. The Lord is King through ages all, Ev’n to eternity; The heathen people from His land Are perish’d utterly. O Lord, of those that humble are Thou the desire didst hear; Thou wilt prepare their heart, and Thou To hear wilt bend Thine ear; To judge the fatherless, and those That are oppressèd sore; That man, that is but sprung of earth, May them oppress no more.

  Why doth the Lord stand off so far? And why conceal His face, When great calamities appear, And times of deep distress? Lord, shall the wicked still deride Thy justice and Thy power? Shall they advance their heads in pride, And still Thy saints devour? They put Thy judgments from their sight, And then insult the poor; They boast in their exalted height, That they shall fall no more. Arise, O God, lift up Thine hand, Attend our humble cry; No enemy shall dare to stand When God ascends on high. Why do the men of malice rage, And say, with foolish pride, “The God of Heav’n will ne’er engage To fight on Zion’s side?” But Thou forever art our Lord; And powerful is Thine hand, As when the heathens felt Thy sword, And perished from Thy land. Thou wilt prepare our hearts to pray, And cause Thine ear to hear; He hearkens what His children say, And puts the world in fear. Proud tyrants shall no more oppress, No more despise the just; And mighty sinners shall confess They are but earth and dust.

  Why standest Thou afar, O Lord, Why art Thou hid in trouble’s hour? The wicked persecute the poor In haughty pride and reckless power. Let their devices work their fall, For in their shame is all their pride; And while they seek unrighteous gain The Lord of justice is defied. The wicked thinks, in foolish pride, There is no God Who will repay; He has no fear of God or man Because God’s judgments long delay. Unmoved by fear of coming doom, On fraud and wickedness intent, With craft he lurks and waits to catch The helpless and the innocent. A lion crouching for his prey, He waits the poor to overthrow; He thinks that God remembers not, Or hides His face and will not know. Arise, O Lord, lift up Thy hand, O God, protect the poor and meek; Why should the proud Thy justice doubt, And words of bold defiance speak? O Lord, Thou wilt indeed requite, The sin and sorrow Thou dost see; The helpless and the fatherless Commit themselves, O Lord, to Thee. Break Thou the power of wicked men And let their works no longer stand, The Lord is King forevermore, Who drove the nations from His land. Lord, Thou hast heard the lowly prayer, The fainting heart Thou wilt restore, The helpless cause Thou wilt maintain, That mortal man may boast no more.
