[24:6]  1 tn Heb “this [is the] generation of the ones seeking him, the ones seeking your face, Jacob.” To “seek the Lord’s face” means to seek his favor through prayer (see 2 Sam 21:1; Pss 27:8; 105:4).

[34:14]  2 tn Or “do good.”

[34:14]  3 tn Heb “seek peace and pursue it.”

[63:9]  3 tn Heb “but they for destruction seek my life.” The pronoun “they” must refer here to the psalmist’s enemies, referred to at this point for the first time in the psalm.

[63:9]  4 sn The depths of the earth refers here to the underworld dwelling place of the dead (see Ezek 26:20; 31:14, 16, 18; 32:18, 24). See L. I. J. Stadelmann, The Hebrew Conception of the World, 167.

[83:16]  4 tn Heb “fill.”

[83:16]  5 tn After the preceding imperative, the prefixed verbal form with prefixed vav (ו) indicates purpose or result (“then they will seek”).

[83:16]  6 tn Heb “your name,” which stands here for God’s person.

[122:9]  5 tn Heb “I will seek good for you.” The psalmist will seek Jerusalem’s “good” through prayer.
