[26:8]  1 tn Heb “the dwelling of your house.”

[26:8]  2 tn Heb “the place of the abode of your splendor.”

[84:4]  3 tn The Hebrew noun is an abstract plural. The word often refers metonymically to the happiness that God-given security and prosperity produce (see v. 12 and Pss 1:1; 2:12; 34:9; 41:1; 65:4; 89:15; 106:3; 112:1; 127:5; 128:1; 144:15).

[104:17]  5 tn Heb “[the] heron [in the] evergreens [is] its home.”

[113:9]  7 tn Heb “of the house.”

[113:9]  8 tn Heb “sons.”

[114:1]  9 sn Psalm 114. The psalmist recalls the events of the exodus and conquest and celebrates God’s kingship over his covenant people.

[114:1]  10 tn Heb “the house of Jacob from a nation speaking a foreign language.” The Hebrew verb לָעַז (laat, “to speak a foreign language”) occurs only here in the OT.

[115:10]  11 tn Heb “house.”

[115:10]  12 tn Or “[source of] help.”

[115:10]  13 tn Heb “and their shield.”

[118:3]  13 tn Heb “house.”

[118:26]  15 sn The people refer here to the psalmist, who enters the Lord’s temple to thank him publicly (see vv. 19-21), as the one who comes in the name of the Lord.

[118:26]  16 tn The pronominal suffix is second masculine plural, but the final mem (ם) is probably dittographic (note the mem [מ] at the beginning of the following form) or enclitic, in which case the suffix may be taken as second masculine singular, referring to the psalmist.

[118:26]  17 tn Heb “from the house of the Lord.”

[122:5]  17 tn Or “for.”

[122:5]  18 tn Or “sat.”

[122:5]  19 tn Heb “Indeed, there they sit [on] thrones for judgment, [on] thrones [belonging] to the house of David.”

[122:9]  19 tn Heb “I will seek good for you.” The psalmist will seek Jerusalem’s “good” through prayer.
