[Psa 3:5] O Lord, How Many Are My Foes
O Lord, how many are my foes, In this weak state of flesh and blood! My peace they daily discompose, But my defense and hope is God. Tired with the burdens of the day, To Thee I raised an evening cry: Thou heard’st when I began to pray, And Thine almighty help was nigh. Supported by Thine heav’nly aid, I laid me down, and slept secure: Not death should make my heart afraid, Though I should wake and rise no more. But God sustained me all the night: Salvation doth to God belong; He raised my head to see the light, And make His praise my morning song. |

[Psa 3:8] Great Source Of Unexhausted Good
Great Source of unexhausted good, Who givest us health and friends and food And peace and calm content; Like fragrant incense, to the skies, Let songs of grateful praises rise For all Thy blessings lent. Through all the dangers of the day, Thy providence attends our way, To guard us and to guide; Thy grace directs our wandering will, And warns us, lest seducing ill Allure our souls aside. To Thee our lives, our all, we owe, Our peace and sweetest joys below, And brightest hopes above; Then let our lives, and all that’s ours, Our souls, and all our active powers, Be sacred to Thy love. |

Thy blessing, O Lord, With peace us afford; Protect and keep us from danger. Thy face ever bright With heavenly light Let shine now upon us, Thy children. Thy countenance lift, And grant us Thy gift, The peace that abideth forever. That thus we may be Forever with Thee; O Jesus, say “Amen,” yea, “Amen.” |
