144:13 Our storehouses 4  will be full,

providing all kinds of food. 5 

Our sheep will multiply by the thousands

[3:6]  1 tn The imperfect verbal form here expresses the psalmist’s continuing attitude as he faces the crisis at hand.

[3:6]  2 tn Or perhaps “troops.” The Hebrew noun עָם (’am) sometimes refers to a military contingent or army.

[3:6]  3 tn Heb “who all around take a stand against me.”

[144:13]  4 tn The Hebrew noun occurs only here.

[144:13]  5 tn Heb “from kind to kind.” Some prefer to emend the text to מָזוֹן עַל מָזוֹן (mazonal mazon, “food upon food”).

[144:13]  6 tn Heb “they are innumerable.”

[144:13]  7 tn Heb “in outside places.” Here the term refers to pastures and fields (see Job 5:10; Prov 8:26).
