[32:3]  1 tn Heb “when I was silent.”

[32:3]  2 tn Heb “my bones became brittle.” The psalmist pictures himself as aging and growing physically weak. Trying to cover up his sin brought severe physical consequences.

[44:15]  3 tn Heb “all the day my humiliation [is] in front of me.”

[44:15]  4 tn Heb “and the shame of my face covers me.”

[86:3]  5 tn Or “show me favor.”

[88:17]  7 tn Heb “they encircle me together.”

[89:16]  9 tn Heb “are lifted up.”

[102:8]  11 tn Heb “by me they swear.” When the psalmist’s enemies call judgment down on others, they hold the psalmist up as a prime example of what they desire their enemies to become.

[118:24]  13 tn Heb “this is the day the Lord has made.” Though sometimes applied in a general way, this statement in its context refers to the day of deliverance which the psalmist and people celebrate.
