  Bring many names, beautiful and good, Celebrate, in parable and story, Holiness in glory, living, loving God. Hail and Hosanna! Bring many names! Strong mother God, working night and day, Planning all the wonders of creation, Setting each equation, genius at play: Hail and Hosanna, strong mother God! Warm father God, hugging every child, Feeling all the strains of human living, Caring and forgiving, till we’re reconciled: Hail and Hosanna, warm father God! Old, aching God, grey with endless care, Calmly piercing evil’s new disguises, Glad of good surprises, wiser than despair: Hail and Hosanna, old, aching God! Young, growing God, eager, on the move, Saying no to falsehood and unkindness, Crying out for justice, giving all you have: Hail and Hosanna, young, growing God!   O magnify the Lord with me, All ye that bear His Name; His faithfulness and sovereignty Forever are the same. He is the soul’s unfailing spring, Its full orbed summer noon; The autumn of its harvesting, Its winter’s restful boon. All times and seasons of the soul, Revolve His will around; The universe itself pays toll To make its life abound. • [Psa 34:3] Through All The Changing Scenes Of Life

  Through all the changing scenes of life, In trouble and in joy, The praises of my God shall still My heart and tongue employ. Of His deliverance I will boast, Till all that are distressed From my example courage take And soothe their griefs to rest. O magnify the Lord with me, With me exalt His Name; When in distress to Him I called, He to my rescue came. Their drooping hearts were soon refreshed, Who looked to Him for aid; Desired success in every face, A cheerful air displayed. “Behold,” they say, “Behold the man Whom providence relieved; The man so dangerously beset, So wondrously retrieved!” The hosts of God encamp around The dwellings of the just; Deliverance He affords to all Who on His succor trust. O make but trial of His love; Experience will decide How blest are they, and only they, Who in His truth confide. Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then Have nothing else to fear; Make you His service your delight; Your wants shall be His care. While hungry lions lack their prey, The Lord will food provide For such as put their trust in Him, And see their needs supplied.

• [Psa 34:8] How You Will Love Him!

  Ye who wander, of sin grown weary, Lonely and far from the safe home-fold, Come and learn what the love of Christ is, Love whose gladness can ne’er be told. Refrain O, how you’ll love Him when you know Him! Know the Christ Who died to set you free; On Calv’ry’s cross His heart was broken, Broken there for you, for me! Come, and coming, find peace and pardon Waiting for you at the place of prayer; Kneel and ask for a soul forgiven, Christ is yearning to meet you there. Refrain You should know of this love so tender, Love that is steadfast, and deep, and true; Come and share in its sweetness with me, Come, and find that my Christ loves you. • [Psa 34:11] Come, Children, Learn To Fear The Lord

  Come, children, learn to fear the Lord And that your days be long, Let not a false or spiteful word Be found upon your tongue. Depart from mischief, practice love, Pursue the works of peace; So shall the Lord your ways approve, And set your souls at ease. His eyes awake to guard the just, His ears attend their cry; When broken spirits dwell in dust, The God of grace is nigh. What though the sorrows here they taste Are sharp and tedious too, The Lord, who saves them all at last, Is their supporter now. Evil shall smite the wicked dead; But God secures His own, Prevents the mischief when they slide, Or heals the broken bone. When desolation, like a flood, O’er the proud sinner rolls, Saints find a refuge in their God, For He redeemed their souls.

  Ye children, come, give ear to me And learn Jehovah’s fear, He who would long and happy live, Let him my counsel hear. Restrain thy lips from speaking guile, From wicked speech depart, From evil turn and do the good, Seek peace with all thy heart. Jehovah’s eyes are on the just, He hearkens to their cry; Against the wicked sets His face; Their very name shall die. He hears the righteous when they cry, From trouble sets them free; He saves the broken hearted ones And those who contrite be. The Lord may suffer many griefs Upon the just to fall, But He will bring them safely through; Delivering them from all. By evil are the evil slain, And they that hate the just; But all His servants God redeems, And safe in Him they trust.
