• Pujian Malam Kunyanyikan [KJ.326]

  1. Pujian malam kunyanyikan; syukur, ya Tuhan, padaMu. Meskipun sinar surya hilang, Engkau tetap cahayaku. Tiada sayang ibu-bapak yang menandingi sayangMu: Tak putus 'ku Kau pelihara, Kau Sumber rahmat bagiku.	Mat 7:11

  God of love and God of power, Grant us in this burning hour Grace to ask these gifts of Thee, Daring hearts and spirits free. • [Psa 59:16] Lord, While Afar Our Brothers Fight

  Lord, while afar our brothers fight, Thy Church united lifts her prayer; Be Thou their Shield by day and night; Guide, guard, and help them everywhere: O God of battles, hear our cry, And in their danger be Thou nigh. For those who, wounded in the fray, Are ling’ring still on beds of pain, Who to their loved ones far away May nevermore return again, O God of pity, hear our cry, And in their anguish be Thou nigh. For wives and mothers sore distressed, For all who wait in silent fear, For homes bereaved which gave their best, For hearts now desolate and drear, O God of comfort, hear our cry, And in the darkest hour draw nigh. Spare us, good Lord! If just the strife, Yet still from guilt we are not free; Forgive our blind and careless life, Our oft forgetfulness of Thee.   O Thou who turnest into morning The shadows of the passing night, Again to conscious life returning, We bless Thee for the newborn light. Grant us that light, to all unfailing Who seek to do Thy perfect will, That we, o’er doubt and fear prevailing, May trust Thy good above all ill; That we may offer Thee thanksgiving Beyond our prayers and songs that rise In greater faithfulness of living, In deeper love through sacrifice.

  In full assurance of Thy grace To Thee my prayers ascend In Thine abounding love and truth, O God, salvation send. Preserve my sinking soul, I pray, From tides of hatred save; Let not the waters overflow, Redeem me from the grave. Because Thy mercy, Lord, is good, O answer me in grace, And in the riches of Thy love O turn to me Thy face. Hide not Thy face from my distress, A speedy answer send; Draw near to me, my soul redeem, From all my foes defend. Well known to Thee is my reproach, My shame and my disgrace, The adversaries of my soul Are all before Thy face. My heart is broken by reproach, My soul is full of grief; I looked in vain for comforters, For pity and relief. They gave me bitter gall for food, And taunting words they spake, They gave me vinegar to drink, My burning thirst to slake. Their peace and plenty be their snare, In blindness let them grope; Thine indignation on them pour, And desolate their hope.   For Thy mercy and Thy grace, Constant through another year, Hear our song of thankfulness; Jesus, our Redeemer, hear. Lo! our sins on Thee we cast, Thee, our perfect Sacrifice; And, forgetting all the past, Press towards our glorious prize. Dark the future: let Thy light Guide us, bright and morning Star: Fierce our foes, and hard the fight; Arm us, Savior, for the war. In our weakness and distress, Rock of strength, be Thou our Stay; In the pathless wilderness Be our true and living Way. Who of us death’s awful road In the coming year shall tread?   To Thy temple holy, come we now with praise; Thou, the meek and lowly, guide us to Thy ways; To Thy courts ascending, though unworthy we; Let our worship, blending, swell Thy harmony. Not with ostentation, not with proud acclaim, Come we, Lord and Master, to extol Thy Name; But with Christly spirit, humble and sincere, Pleading but Thy merit, we Thy Name revere. For Thy Holy Spirit earnestly we plead, Visit us, bestowing grace for all our need, Sanctify our worship to Thy glory, Lord; Grant us spirits eager to receive Thy Word.
