• [Psa 40:9] Before Thy People, I Confess

  Before Thy people I confess The wonders of Thy righteousness; Thou knowest, Lord, that I have made Thy great salvation known, Thy truth and faithfulness displayed, Thy lovingkindness shown. Withhold not Thou Thy grace from me, O Lord, Thy mercy let me see, To me Thy lovingkindness show, Thy truth be still my stay; Let them preserve me where I go, And keep me every day. Let all who seek to see Thy face, Be glad and joyful in Thy grace; Let those who Thy salvation love Forevermore proclaim: O praise the Lord Who dwells above, And magnify His Name. Although I poor and needy be, The Lord in love takes thought for me; Thou art my help in time of need, My Savior, Lord, art Thou; Then, O my God, I pray, I plead: Stay not, but save me now. A new and joyful song of praise He taught my thankful heart to raise; And many, seeing me restored, Shall fear the Lord and trust; And blest are they that trust the Lord, The humble and the just.

• [Psa 71:8] Fill Thou My Life

  Fill Thou my life, O Lord my God, In every part with praise, That my whole being may proclaim Thy being and Thy ways. Not for the lip of praise alone, Nor e’en the praising heart I ask, but for a life made up Of praise in every part! Praise in the common words I speak, Life’s common looks and tones, In fellowship in hearth and board With my belovèd ones; Not in the temple crowd alone Where holy voices chime, But in the silent paths of earth, The quiet rooms of time. Fill every part of me with praise; Let all my being speak Of Thee and of Thy love, O Lord, Poor though I be, and weak. So shalt Thou, Lord, from me, e’en me, Receive the glory due; And so shall I begin on earth The song forever new. So shall each fear, each fret, each care Be turned into a song, And every winding of the way The echo shall prolong; So shall no part of day or night From sacredness be free; But all my life, in every step Be fellowship with Thee.

Psalms 71:15-19

• [Psa 71:16] I Will Go In The Strength Of The Lord

  I will go in the strength of the Lord, In the path He hath marked for my feet: I will follow the light of His Word, Nor shrink from the dangers I meet. His presence my steps shall attend: His fullness my wants shall supply; On Him, till my journey shall end, My hope shall securely rely. I will go in the strength of the Lord, To the work He appoints me to do: In the joy which His smile shall afford My soul shall her vigor renew. His wisdom will guard me from harm, His pow’r my sufficiency prove; I will trust His omnipotent arm, I will rest in His covenant love. I will go in the strength of the Lord, To each conflict which faith may require, His grace, as my shield and reward, My courage and zeal shall inspire. If He issue the word of command To meet and encounter the foe, Though with sling and with stone in my hand, In the strength of the Lord I will go.
